Sandra Bullock is NOT married to Bryan Randall, despite a claim from exactly one year ago. On June 14, 2017, OK! wrongly maintained on its cover that the couple was altar-bound. At the time, Gossip Cop debunked the tabloid's story, and now a full 365 days later it's clear we were correct since the two still haven't tied the knot.
Exactly 12 months ago, the cover of OK! featured a photo of the Ocean's 8 actress with a big smile on her face, along with the headline, "Wedding Bells! Why Bryan Is The One." The impression was that she and her boyfriend were preparing to wed. However, the article inside the magazine merely speculated about the possibility of Bullock getting married.
At the time, the tabloid quoted a supposed "source" as saying, "Everyone's been wondering when an engagement announcement will come." And while the outlet alleged Bullock and Randall were getting married soon, it offered no other details or proof to support its claim. It simply stated the wedding would take place in Jackson Hole, Wyoming because the actress owns a home there.
When Gossip Cop first fact-checked the story, a mutual pal of ours and Bullock assured us there was "no wedding in the works." Over the course of the past year, there have been subsequent false stories about the actress having wed Randall. However, it's as untrue now as it was in 2017. Just three months ago when wedding rumors resurfaced, Bullock's rep said she and Randall were "not married."
Curiously, after the tabloid was wrong a year ago, it continued its false narrative anyway. In October 2017, for example, the magazine ran yet another cover story asserting that Bullock was planning a wedding and to adopt a baby with Randall. In that tall tale, although the outlet claimed her nuptials would cost under $5,000 and feature "barbecuing, country music and horseback rides for the kids," the outlet offer very few specifics about the alleged ceremony, which obviously never took place.
In January of this year, the same publication came back and maintained Randall and Bullock were engaged after he supposedly popped the question over the holidays. That time, the tabloid ditched Wyoming and swore up and down they were tying the knot on an exotic island in by the beginning of the summer, which is about now. Once again, the actress' rep, speaking on behalf of Bullock, told Gossip Cop that she and Randall were not engaged nor planning a wedding on a picturesque island or anywhere else right now.
Bullock and Randall may one day decide to get married, but so far the tabloid has struck out three times with its stories. In addition to our fact-checking, time has also proven the publication repeatedly wrong. Should more rumors arise, Gossip Cop will continue to investigate what's fact and what's fiction.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
