Is Sandra Bullock torn between longtime friend Keanu Reeves and boyfriend Bryan Randall? One of this week's tabloids claims the actress is being forced to choose between the two men. Gossip Cop can debunk the phony story.
According to OK!, Bullock's boyfriend of more than three years isn't happy about her close bond with Reeves, who she co-starred with in 1994's Speed and 2006's The Lake House. An alleged insider tells the magazine that Randall has "tried to be cool about it since she insists it's platonic, but he's noticed that recently, Sandra and Keanu's buddy-buddy get-togethers have turned into long late-night dinners." The supposed source further contends that the actress's boyfriend is "never invited" because Bullock "insists someone needs to stay at home with her two kids."
The questionable tipster goes on to say Randall gave his girlfriend an ultimatum, telling her, "It's Keanu or me!" "He loves Sandra and worships the ground she walks on, but there's only so much he can take," says the seemingly phony source, who adds that Bullock was "shaken" by the photographer's warning, but believes Reeves is "the one man she let get away."
The suspicious source concludes, "It's hard to deny that sparks fly whenever Sandra and Keanu are together, and Bryan knows it... She could never cut Keanu out completely, but she's vowed to include Bryan more in their friendship to help him see there's nothing to worry about."
Here's what's really happening. During an interview on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" last month, Bullock admitted that she had a crush on Reeves 25 years ago while they were shooting Speed. The actress also made a point of noting that she and her longtime pal have "never dated." She added, "There was something about me that I guess he didn't like... I think we're probably friends for [so] long because we didn't." OK! was seemingly inspired to concoct its bogus story based on the actress's interview, but there's no truth to it.
Despite what the tabloid's anonymous "source" claims, Bullock's rep is going on the record to dismiss the idea that she's in any sort of love triangle with Reeves and Randall. The actress's friendship with her former co-star isn't negatively impacting her romance, and her boyfriend isn't suspicious of their relationship.
Meanwhile, the unreliable outlet has proven to have zero insight into the actress's personal life. Back in 2017, Gossip Cop busted the tabloid for wrongly reporting that Bullock was having a "wedding and a baby" with her boyfriend. That never happened. Last year, the magazine falsely claimed that Bullock was adopting a third child. That didn't pan out either. This latest article surrounding her friendship with Reeves is more fiction.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
