One of this week's tabloids claims Sandra Bullock keeps turning down boyfriend Bryan Randall's marriage proposals because she fears getting "dumped at the altar." Gossip Cop can debunk the bogus story. A rep for the actress confirms it's completely fabricated.
According to Life & Style, Bullock's boyfriend is eager to walk down the aisle, but she refuses to tie the knot because she still has major trust issues after being cheated on by ex-husband Jesse James. An alleged insider tells the magazine, "She's developed these panic scenarios in her head that he'll cheat on her like Jesse did, or that they'll fall out of love and she'll have to go through another divorce."
The outlet's questionable source continues, "Bryan is trying to persuade her to marry him, but she keeps putting it off. He constantly tells her that he's nothing like Jesse, and he swears he'll never hurt her, but she's afraid." The unreliable outlet further contends that Bullock's reluctance to marry the photographer has led to a number of fights and could result in the end of their relationship. "If Sandra doesn't get over this fear, she may end up losing her soulmate," adds the supposed tipster.
Naturally, the tabloid fails to identify the "insider" who allegedly knows all of these intimate details about Bullock's relationship. The actress's own spokesperson, however, tells Gossip Cop on the record that the magazine "made up the entire article."
It should be noted, Bullock said in a 2015 People interview that she doesn't plan on getting married again, adding, "But I can see myself in a committed, safe relationship where there is lots of love and laughter." That's what she's found with Randall, who presumably knows her stance on the subject considering that the actress publicly stated she's not interested in remarrying. Of course, there's always the possibility the actress could change her mind, but Randall hasn't been pressuring her to get hitched, and the two aren't on the verge of splitting over a nonexistent conflict.
Additionally, Life & Style is hardly a trustworthy source when it comes to the actress's personal life. Gossip Cop busted the tabloid in April for wrongly reporting that Bullock was pregnant with Randall's baby. This latest report makes no mention of a child. And last December, we called out the publication for falsely claiming that Bullock was having a "winter wedding" in Europe. The winter has passed and the actress remains unmarried. It's clear the magazine has zero insight into the actress's relationship.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
