Sam Smith Saturday Night Live

Sam Smith sang “Pray” on “Saturday Night Live.” The single is also on his upcoming album, The Thrill Of It All. Earlier in the show, Smith performed “Too Good At Goodbyes” on “SNL.” See the video below of Smith’s performance of him singing “Pray.”

Smith released the single “Pray” on Friday. He tweeted shortly afterwards, “I hope you love ‘Pray’, I hope it becomes your friend in those deep dark nights of confusion & loneliness. Love you all so much.” Within the first 24 hours of its release, the audio for the single was listened to more than 3 million times on YouTube.

Smith’s appearance on the comedy series is in support of his upcoming album, The Thrill Of It All, which is set for release on November 3. The singer also just announced a North American tour that’s set to take him to 39 stops between June 18 and September 13, 2018. It all kicks off in Toronto, and includes concerts in New York, Boston, Miami, Los Angeles, and Nashville, among other major cities. But before that, Smith will throughout Europe.

As Gossip Cop previously noted, this marks the second time Smith has been the musical guest on the sketch comedy series. He first appeared on “Saturday Night Live” back in 2014 when he promoted his debut album “In The Lonely Hour.” At the time, the singer blew the roof off Studio 8H at 30 Rockefeller Plaza with the performances of his hits “Lay Me Down” and “Stay With Me.”

He once again astounded at “Saturday Night Live” with his two new songs. Check out the video below of Smith’s performance of “Pray” on “SNL.”
