Ryan Reynolds is not leaning on ex-wife Scarlett Johansson amid (nonexistent) marriage problems with Blake Lively, despite a bogus tabloid report. Gossip Cop can debunk the story. There’s simply no truth to it.

Earlier this week, Gossip Cop busted OK! for falsely claiming Reynolds and Lively were headed for a divorce over so-called “rumors” he cheated on her with a twenty-something woman in Los Angeles. These unsubstantiated “rumors” only existed in the pages of the magazine. The happy spouses aren’t headed for a split over an imaginary scenario.

The unreliable tabloid, however, has published a follow-up story about the Deadpool star supposedly turning to his ex-wife amid the made-up drama. An alleged insider tells the outlet, “There are whispers [Johansson’s] been calling and checking up on him to see how he’s doing. The buzz is that he told Scarlett about the tense situation at home with Blake and how he’s been dealing with the cheating rumors.”

The questionable source further contends that Lively isn’t happy about her husband supposedly keeping in touch with his ex, adding, “Blake knows they still talk, but she doesn’t know how often. She certainly wouldn’t like the way Ryan has been confiding in Scarlett, pouring his heart out about their marriage.” The seemingly phony tipster adds, “That’s strictly husband-and-wife stuff, and no woman wants to hear that her husband is telling all to his ex.”

The tabloid’s premise is predicated on the false idea that Reynolds and his wife are headed for a split, which isn’t the case. Just a few days ago, in fact, Lively left a flirty comment on her husband’s Instagram page. After Reynolds shared a clip of his animated character in the upcoming movie Detective Pikachu, his wife wrote, “Is it wrong to say I’d tap that??” The actor responded, “This is easily the best fan-fiction I’ve ever read.”

Reynolds and Lively frequently take to social media to poke fun at each other and exchange playful messages. Considering the spouses are continuing to do so, it’s clear they’re not on the brink of a split over unfounded “cheating rumors” that haven’t been reported by any outlet other than OK! This is the same publication we busted in March 2018 for falsely claiming Reynolds and Lively were “living separate lives” and headed for a breakup. The narrative wasn’t true then and it’s no more accurate now.

It’s worth noting, this also isn’t the first time the outlet has made up a phony story about Johansson coming between her ex-husband and his wife. Back in 2017, Gossip Cop called out the magazine for wrongly alleging Lively was “livid” over the possibility of Reynolds reconnecting with his ex. The tabloid’s latest attempt to create some sort of love triangle between the three movie stars is more nonsense.
