Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively's marriage is often the subject of phony tabloid stories. Gossip Cop has corrected many bogus articles about the couple as of late. Here are five recent wrong rumors.
Last month, Gossip Cop busted the cover of OK! for wrongly reporting that the couple was expecting twins. It was said they were hoping for a boy and a girl and had already started designing a nursery. The same day the story was published, however, Lively said on "Good Morning America" that she's not pregnant. "I had to explain to my daughter what an anniversary is," the actress said in the interview. "She's like, 'What is it, does it mean you're having another baby today?' and I was like, 'Dear God, no.'"
Gossip Cop also called out NW last month for making up a story about Lively warning Anna Kendrick to stop "flirting" with her husband. The magazine alleged that Lively wasn't happy about her A Simple Favor co-star engaging in "flirty banter" with Reynolds on social media. However, it was actually Lively and Kendrick who had an ongoing bit about having an affair while promoting their movie. The two women teamed up on Twitter and Instagram to tease Reynolds about their close bond. It even got to the point where Reynolds joked that he wasn't going to allow Kendrick to steal his wife. It was all in good fun, but if anything, Reynolds is the one who should have been jealous.
In August, Gossip Cop debunked a Star story claiming that Reynolds' anxiety was ruining his marriage. The report was concocted after the actor opened up about his struggle with anxiety in a New York Times interview. The magazine alleged that Lively was begging her husband to seek therapy to save their relationship. The story didn't make much sense, considering that Reynolds said in his interview that he's been struggling with anxiety his entire life. It wasn't a sudden and untreated problem. Around the same time the false story emerged, Us Weekly published a piece noting that Lively and Reynolds "couldn't be happier and more in love."
In March, Gossip Cop busted OK! for falsely claiming that Reynolds and Lively were living separate lives and headed for a divorce. The tabloid contended that both were putting their careers ahead of their relationships and spent little quality time together. Not only has time disproven the outlet's story, but Lively noted in an interview with People magazine last year that she and her husband "don't work at the same time" because they want to always be together as a family.
And finally, Gossip Cop called out NW last December for alleging that Reynolds and Lively were headed for a split. The magazine said that time apart was taking a toll on the couple as she filmed the movie The Rhythm Section in Ireland. What the tabloid didn't mention is that Reynolds was with Lively and their two daughters almost the entire time she shot her movie in Dublin last year. Regardless, it's very clear nearly one year later that the spouses are still happily married.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
