A tabloid published a story this week about Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes being “happier than ever.” That might be true, but the article comes just months after Gossip Cop busted the same magazine for falsely claiming the couple was splitting. The unreliable outlet clearly makes up storylines on a whim.

Back in May, Gossip Cop called out OK! Australia for publishing a phony cover story about Mendes dumping Gosling and taking their two kids. According to the tabloid, the couple’s problems began following the birth of their second daughter in 2016, after which the actor supposedly forced Mendes to be “the homemaker” while he focused on his career.

An alleged insider told the magazine that Gosling “wasn’t ready for a second child” and began drifting away from the family shortly after the little girl was born. Making matters worse, according to the outlet, was that the actor refused to support Mendes’ hopes of making an “acting comeback.” The untrustworthy publication concluded its piece by insisting the two were “leading separate lives” and headed for a battle over money and custody.

Not only did a source close to the couple assure us the story was nonsense, but around the same time, they were spotted getting sushi with their two daughters in Los Angeles. Gosling and Mendes have a always had a supporting and loving relationship. And despite the two being very private about their personal lives, the actress has opened up in multiple interviews about him being a great father.

Somewhat astoundingly, this week’s issue of the tabloid features the headline, “Eva & Ryan: More In Love Than Ever!” The article makes no mention of the outrageous cover story printed four months ago. Instead, the magazine says they “looked happier than ever” while on a dinner date earlier this month. It gets more staggering from there. The outlet also includes quotes from an interview in which Mendes spoke about much she and Gosling enjoy raising their kids together. What happened to the custody battle and Gosling being an unsupportive partner and father?

Perhaps OK! Australia is banking on its readers having short memory spans, but Gossip Cop hasn’t forgotten the false split rumors published by the tabloid mere months ago. We also haven’t forgotten about the American edition of the magazine wrongly reporting last year that Gosling and Mendes were expecting twins. It’s fairly clear the gossip media has zero insight into the couple’s romance.
