Ryan Adams announced on Twitter and Instagram Thursday that he’s going to record an entire album of Taylor Swift cover songs from her latest record 1989. Sharing a photo of himself and a band practicing, Adams, wrote, “Taylor Swift 1989 full album cover night 1. As played by the Smiths. W @totally_tod @cstavish @natelotz.” Naturally, Swift was beyond excited to hear the news and tweeted at Adams, “I WILL PASS OUT.”

Adams then responded, “Yes. Just finished Style. Badass tunes, Taylor. We’re sandblasting them and they’re holding steady.” Swift wrote back that she was going to have a hard time sleeping “tonight or ever again.” She added, “I’m going to celebrate today every year as a holiday. I’M CALM.”

Over on Instagram, Adams shared a picture of Swift’s lyrics to “Welcome To New York” writing in the caption, “Guaranteed saddest version of Welcome to New York ever – or your tears back.” He then uploaded a short video of his version of the song (below). Adams also posted a screenshot of the lyrics to Swift’s “Blank Space.” He wrote, “#2 Blank Space… Deep end smiths vibe.” The third song Adams plans on recording is “Style.”
