Russell Crowe is not dating Australian radio host Fifi Box, despite a false tabloid report. Gossip Cop can help debunk the story. Both the actor and on-air personality shot down the untrue claims on Monday.

The latest cover of New Idea reads "Russell & Fifi: We're So In Love," along with a photoshopped image of the two seemingly smiling at one another. The misleading cover is a bait-and-switch designed to dupe readers into believing the two are an item. The accompanying article inside the magazine, however, includes alleged details about their separate love lives.

It's said that Crowe is "head over heels" for a mystery women. Tellingly, the untrustworthy outlet doesn't provide the identity of the actor's supposed new girlfriend. Meanwhile, the tabloid notes that Box is dating actor Damien Richardson, despite the deceptive cover suggesting she's in a relationship with Crowe.

On Monday, Crowe tweeted a screenshot of the phony cover story, along with the caption, "Oh... and this... Something is so wrong with the leadership of this magazine. They keep piling on the humiliations. I am not in a relationship with this young lady and never have been." The official Instagram page of Box's radio program, "The Fifi, Fev & Byron Show," also debunked the rumors. The team wrote, "We can confirm that Fifi is not in a relationship with @RussellCrowe despite this cover making it look like they are."

Unfortunately, this isn't the first time Crowe has had to correct false tabloid rumors regarding his love life. Last year, the actor called out Woman's Day for wrongly reporting he was dating 22-year-old Australian actress Sophia Forrest. Shortly after the article was published, Crowe tweeted, "Dear @WomansDayAus can you not stuff your [expletive] filled pages with deliberate lies about relationships I've never been in? Thanks in advance."

A few months later, Crowe blasted Woman's Day yet again for romantically linking him to close friend Terri Irwin. "Am I living in a parallel universe? Why keep doing this @WomansDayAus?" the actor wrote, further noting that both he and Irwin had corrected similarly bogus reports about them being a couple.

Our Verdict

Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
