Rumi and Sir Carter are the names of Beyonce and Jay Z’s twins, according to a new report. Gossip Cop is seeking confirmation.

As Gossip Cop reported, it was revealed earlier this month that Beyonce gave birth at a Los Angeles hospital. Though more than a week has passed, neither she nor Jay Z have confirmed the newborns’ arrival. In fact, the rapper has carried on with his music career, releasing a highly-anticipated new album on Friday. The record contains vague references to Beyonce and their growing family.

Now hours after Jay Z dropped 4:44, TMZ is reporting that the babies’ names may have been inadvertently revealed in new trademark petitions. According to the site, Beyonce and Jay Z’s joint company that oversees their own trademarks has filed new paperwork to secure the rights for “Rumi” and “Sir.” The outlet says the new legal documents seek exclusive permission to use those names for “fragrances, cosmetics, key chains, baby teething rings, strollers, mugs, water bottles, hair ribbons, playing cards, tote bags, sports balls and rattles and novelty items.”

And, given that Beyonce has spent months locked in legal battle over trademarking “Blue Ivy,” it’s easy to see why TMZ would conclude “Rumi” and “Sir” are the names of the couple’s new children. Gossip Cop reached out to a rep for the singer for comment, but did not immediately hear back. It’s worth noting that MediaTakeOut claimed more than a week ago in a “super worldwide exclusive” that the babies were named “Bea” and “Shawn.”

Gossip Cop, however, didn’t take that contention all that seriously, given that MediaFakeOut has a horrible track record when it comes to accurately reporting on the superstars, as we noted in this “twins update” bust. On the other hand, TMZ has generally been a reliable resource on such matters. Gossip Cop will update accordingly when more information is available.
