(Tournament of Roses)

The 2017 Rose Bowl Game between the Penn State and USC Trojans takes place in Pasadena on Monday, and Gossip Cop has a live stream. Watch the game below!

The annual college football game dates back to 1902 and became an annual tradition beginning in 1916. It earned its nickname of the “Granddaddy Of Them All” for being the oldest bowl game. Traditionally, the Rose Bowl is played on January 1, but because New Year’s Day fell on a Sunday, and the bowl games have a “Never On Sunday” policy, the matchup between Penn State and USC is on Monday.

Interestingly, this marks the fourth time Penn State has played in the Rose Bowl and the third time against USC. Previously, the two college teams hit the gridiron in 1923 and again in 2009. USC won both those times. It should be noted, however, USC has been in the Rose Bowl more than any other college, with 33 appearances, and has also been the most victorious team in the bowl’s history with 24 wins.

Going into this year’s Rose Bowl, USC has won eight games straight, while Penn State is on a nine-game winning streak. Earlier, Gossip Cop had a live stream of the 2017 Rose Bowl Parade. The annual Tournament Of Roses Parade, which had Olympians Greg Louganis, Janet Evans, and Allyson Felix as its grand marshals, was themed “Echoes Of Success,” and featured more than 40 floats, numerous marching bands, and equestrian groups.
