The View Roger Stone Video

Roger Stone said on Friday’s “The View” that there’s no evidence of collusion between Donald Trump and Russia. Check out the video below.

Appearing on the ABC talk show to promote a new documentary profiling himself, Stone called the fixation on Trump’s alleged Russian ties a “scandal without evidence so far.” He conceded that it took 18 months for the Richard Nixon investigation to “boil,” but argued there was “smoke” back then. Now, however, the political strategist insisted, “We don’t even have smoke here. We have nothing.”

Stone, who played a major role in Trump’s campaign, said he’s offered up his own documents for review, noting, “They’ll find a lot of funky stuff. But I’ll tell you what they won’t find: Any Russians.” He was also grilled about Trump recently tweeting that he hasn’t spoken to him in a while, despite Stone saying they talked recently. Joy Behar bluntly asked, “Who’s lying: you or the president?”

“I’m not going to contradict the president,” Stone responded, but then he did just that, adding, “I will say I talked to him very recently.” He denied Trump “threw me under the bus,” and surprised the panelists by admitting, “I want to testify. I don’t need a subpoena. I’m not asking for immunity. I’m already thinking about what I’m going to wear. I want to testify in public so everyone can hear what I have to say. I’m anxious to do it.”

He even confessed, “I would welcome a special prosecutor. I think the president should pick the right woman to do that.” One thing Stone refused to discuss was whether he did or did not urge Trump to fire James Comey. Acknowledging reports of his involvement, Stone said, “I’m not the source of the story. Nor would I comment on it. I’ve always taken the position that private conversations between myself and the president… are confidential.”

“I have declined to talk about conversations I’ve had with him, and I’m not going to contradict him today,” Stone went on. “That said, he knows my views on Comey. I would’ve fired him five seconds after I took my hands off the bible.” The segment ended in awkward fashion when Behar brought up the Nixon tattoo Stone has on his back.

He then said to her, “Come back with me to my place later and I’ll show it to you.” Behar cracked, “Wait, hold on, let me give a big eye roll to that one.” Watch it all go down in the video below.
