Robert Pattinson made his very first appearance on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” on Wednesday to promote Good Time. Watch the video below!

As Gossip Cop has reported, Pattinson’s latest film is a critically-acclaimed crime thriller in which he stars as a bank robber who tries to get his brother out of jail after one of their heists goes awry. The movie’s plot unfolds over a single night, and the actor’s immersion in the role has been hailed as a career best. Now days before the flick hits theaters on Friday, Pattinson sat down with Colbert to discuss the project.

Pattinson first talked about his early work, including doing the play “Our Town,” and starring in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. He then explained that he’s been lucky enough to have “the luxury of not having to work constantly” and being able to choose the types of movies he wants to do. Pattinson added that even though a lot of the projects he’s done are independent films, “you hope they become a blockbuster.” The actor then showed a clip from Good Time, talked about his character, and was asked by Colbert whether he owns a comb because he looks a little tousled on the cover of GQ.

Pattinson’s “Late Show” interview came one day after Good Time had its New York premiere. And just hours before the taping, GQ released its new issue with Pattinson on the cover. In addition to recently stopping by “The Howard Stern Show,” the actor’s life right now is all about promoting the film. In fact, as Gossip Cop reported, Pattinson’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” appearance last week sparked a lot of attention after he told a story about supposedly being asked to masturbate a dog on camera.

After his comments blew up online, Pattinson exclusively told Gossip Cop, “The story I told on ‘Jimmy Kimmel’ last night seems to have spiraled out of control. What didn’t come across is that this was supposed to be a joke. No one at all expected or assumed that anything like that would happen on the Good Time set. We are all huge animal lovers and would obviously never do anything to harm an animal. Everyone involved in Good Time are amazing professionals and have come together to make a movie that I’m extremely proud of. I feel embarrassed that in the moment, I was trying to make Jimmy laugh, only to create confusion and a false impression.”

Fortunately, Pattinson’s chat with Colbert should prove far less controversial. Check out the video below of Pattinson’s interview with Stephen Colbert on the “Late Show.”
