Robert Pattinson and Mia Goth never dated, despite a report from a year ago that falsely claimed they were getting "cozy." As Gossip Cop reported then, the co-stars were nothing more than friends. That's still the case today, 365 days later.
On August 23, 2017, as Pattinson and Goth filmed the movie High Life in Germany, we called out HollywoodLife for a story about the colleagues "getting close off-set." After the pair were photographed together, the site suggestively commented, "Well, isn't this interesting?" The blog acknowledged that "Rob and Mia didn't display any sort of PDA," but still argued that it was "interesting that he and Mia seem to be getting chummy off-set."
How exactly were they being "cozy" with one another? They actually weren't. As the pictures of Pattinson and Goth showed, they were simply photographed walking in Cologne. They didn't even appear to be engaged in conversation, let alone acting "chummy." Asserted HollywoodLife, "We don't think fans should be alarmed, but the fact that Rob and Mia went sight-seeing together could mean their friendship will only grow deeper as they spend more time together."
Readers were even asked, "How do YOU feel about Robert Pattinson getting cozy with Mia Goth?" Nowhere in the article did the website acknowledge that Goth was married to Shia LaBeouf, with whom she tied the knot in 2016. Instead, the outlet brought up Pattinson's relationship with FKA Twigs, wondering what the actor's hangout with Goth meant for him and his fiancee. As Gossip Cop said then, the online publication was trying to sensationalize a rather routine outing into something scandalous.
But co-stars hang out with one another all the time during the course of productions. It doesn't mean something is going on romantically. Indeed, nothing ever came from Pattinson and Goth's hangout. They simply made a movie together, and then went their separate ways. This past May, Goth and LaBeouf were seen engaged in PDA, and though his engagement with Twigs eventually ended, Pattinson was revealed last month to be in a new romance with Suki Waterhouse.
With High Life now to set to have its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in a couple of weeks, that very may well bring Pattinson and Goth back together again. And as is customary, they'll probably pose for photos. But will Pattinson and Goth be getting cozy, like HollywoodLife claimed last year? No, and fans shouldn't be fooled into thinking otherwise.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
