A certain website is purporting to know Robert Pattinson "desperately wants" to revive his "bond" with Kristen Stewart. This story, however, is nothing more than a fabrication. Gossip Cop can bust it.
HollywoodLife has a long, documented history of spinning tall tales about a number of high-profile stars, but especially Pattinson and Stewart. Over the years, the site has tried to dupe fans with entirely false reports about the pair getting married and having a baby. Gossip Cop even pointed out some of these lies just days ago, when we called out the blog for a made-up story about how Pattinson still "loves" Stewart.
Well, now the outlet is at it again. In its latest piece of fiction, the online publication is claiming to have "exclusive details on how" Pattinson "wants to rekindle the bond they once shared" and "reconnect with his former love." Those are strange claims to make considering in its last article, HollywoodLies, as it's nicknamed, maintained he and Stewart are "finally friends again" and have a "deep friendship." If that was the case, why would he be needing to "rekindle" and "reconnect"?
Citing a "source close to the actor," the site now alleges Pattinson finds it "important" to "make her a friend for life and repair any animosity they may have had with each other." The almost assuredly invented insider goes on to assert he "looks forward to being a part of her life in one way shape or form." Well, again, according to that previous report, the exes had already come to terms with their past and already were a part of each other's lives again.
There's a reason why the blog's "reporting" isn't consistent, and that's because it's all fake. These are exercises in creative writing designed to lure in Pattinson and Stewart's fans, not real journalism about actual news. In fact, it's apparent HollywoodLies is full of it when it writes that the former co-stars were seen "allegedly grabbing drinks together" earlier this month. The "allegedly" means the outlet isn't sure the hangout actually happened. Why didn't the publication just ask its "source"?
Because HollywoodLies doesn't appear to really have one. As Gossip Cop has rightly said for years, those close to Pattinson and Stewart don't go gossiping to the pot-stirring website. There's a reason no credible outlets have been running similar narratives about the former couple, and that's because the site seems to be making it all up out of whole cloth. But since the blog is apparently so interested in the Twilight stars, why not report that Pattinson hung out with colleague Dakota Fanning this week? At least that's a fact.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
