Robert Pattinson appeared on Thursday’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” to promote his upcoming movie Good Time. Watch video of the interview below.

Pattinson began his interview with Kimmel by talking about how he “bullied” a substitute teacher by “locking her in a cupboard.” They then discussed how the actor has “always been comfortable” on the late night talk show and was recently on the “Howard Talk Show.” From there, they chatted about Good Time and how Pattinson didn’t know much about the directors, Ben and Joshua Safdie, before working with them, but took a liking to the brothers after seeing a photo of them.

Kimmel then showed a clip of Pattinson in Good Time. The actor related afterwards how in one scene he gave a dog in the film a handjob. Pattinson then clarified that he didn’t actually do it in real-life to the dog, but pretended to arouse the canine on a mock dog genitals.

The actor, who generally lays low when not promoting movies, has begun doing the press rounds for Good Time, which has already generated a lot of positive buzz. A week ago, he attended a screening of the film at Montreal’s Fantasia Film Festival, along with a Film Society event. As Gossip Cop previously reported, Pattinson premiered the movie in May at the Cannes Film Festival, where he got a standing ovation. He told Kimmel the standing ovation was “amazing.”

In the film, set for release on August 11, Pattinson plays a criminal who tries to help his brother escape from prison after a bank robbery that went awry. The action of the thriller takes place over the course one night during which Pattinson’s character attempts to the break his brother loose from jail in Queens, New York. Much like his appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” Pattinson has praised the Safdie brothers in all his other interviews about the critically-acclaimed movie. He mentioned to the talk show host how one of the directors, Ben Safdie, also plays his brother in the movie.

As Gossip Cop reported, while promoting the film a week and a half ago, the very private Pattinson talked about FKA Twigs on the “Howard Stern Show,” noting that they are “kind of” engaged. He also regaled Stern with stories about how he almost got fired from Twilight for acting too “serious,” and how he was kicked out of school for selling pornographic magazines to other students that he had actually stolen from a nearby store. In his interview with Kimmel, Pattinson noted that Stern didn’t get him to say anything he wished he hadn’t.

Pattinson seems to enjoy promoting his films on “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” In 2011, he was on the show to talk about Water For Elephants. The following year, while discussing Cosmopolis on the late night program, the actor talked about stumbling upon a hotspot for public sex and buying his cars off Craigslist.

That same year, when he returned to promote Breaking Dawn – Part Two, Pattinson shared how he had just gone skydiving in Australia, telling Kimmel, “It’s something I’ve always wanted to do. That’s also how I want to die.” And when the actor came back in 2014 for The Rover, Pattinson talked about how he we was then “homeless,” couldn’t find his Teen Choice Awards surfboards, and noted he has “heavy saliva.”
