Robert Pattinson revealed several of his “firsts” in a new interview, including his first job, pet album and more. The actor was asked to answer the questions quickly with the first response that came to mind, resulting in some of his replies being a bit peculiar.

Pattinson is featured in the latest issue of W magazine, which highlights the most talked about performers of the year. The actor, who earned some of the best reviews of his career with the 2017 crime drama Good Time, answered a series of unconventional questions for the publication. The interviewer set up the discussion by explaining, “Now we’re going to do this thing where I’m going to ask you about your firsts. It’s a very quick response. the first thing that comes to your mind.”

When asked about his first job, the actor replied, “Sex.” When asked to elaborate on the surprising answer, Pattinson laughed, “I don’t know why. I’m terrible at these things. I mean, that’s the first one that came into my mind.” The actor revealed his first album to be the greatest hits of English R&B singer Billy Ocean, while his first pet was a West Highland terrier he named “Patty Pat Pattinson.”

Pattinson further revealed that his first favorite film growing up was 1992’s The Hand that Rocks the Cradle, a thriller about a nanny who terrorizes the family that employs her. “I remember really being obsessed with [that movie],” said the actor, who further noted he’s more into “erotic thrillers” than scary movies. Meanwhile, Pattinson’s first red carpet outfit was “leather pants… red cowboy boots and a velvet jacket,” which he wore to the premiere of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

The Harry Potter premiere also happened to have served as the setting for Pattinson’s first “I’ve made it” moment. The actor recalled being grabbed by a beggar on the street after he declined to give him money, “and he was like, ‘Who do you think you are, Paul Newman?'” he noted. “And then I walked another block and it was where the premiere was, and there was the Harry Potter billboard and I was like, ‘Oh that’s weird.’ I don’t know what it meant or anything, but I remember it very clearly.” Pattinson’s full interview can be found in the latest issue of W magazine.
