Robert Pattinson and Emma Watson are still not dating, despite a late and wrong report that Gossip Cop already debunked. Despite the tabloids insisting on making this relationship happen, we’ve learned there’s simply no romance brewing between the former co-stars.
Last week, the National Enquirer wrongly reported that Pattinson and Watson recently started getting close, but sources close to both stars shot down the story. Unfortunately, that hasn’t prevented In Touch from continuing the phony narrative in its latest issue, which features the headline, “Emma & Robert: It’s On!” It’s not.
Still, a so-called “source” tells the outlet, “They’ve been texting and enjoying secret dinners together in LA and London.” The pair, who first met while filming 2005’s Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, “always had chemistry,” according to the questionable insider, “but the timing has never been right until now.” The alleged source adds, “Robert finds Emma’s easygoing personality refreshing. They share the same sense of humor, and have so much in common.”
But this account of events wasn’t true last week, and it’s no more accurate now. Gossip Cop can once again confirm that Pattinson and Watson aren’t a couple. As we also noted, similar rumors cropped up in 2009, at which time Watson explained, “We’re just friends, but he sure was great to work with.” Their relationship remains platonic.
At the very least, In Touch has taken a break from arbitrarily linking the actor to former co-star and ex-girlfriend Kristen Stewart. Gossip Cop recently busted the unreliable magazine for making up a story about Pattinson asking Stewart for career advice. We also recently called out the tabloid’s sister publication, Life & Style, for falsely claiming that the Twilight co-stars were getting back together. This latest article surrounding the actor’s love life is equally bogus.
