Robert Pattinson's love life has been the subject of wild rumors over the years. The actor has been dating model Suki Waterhouse for around a year now, and prior to that, he was engaged to FKA Twigs. Pattinson also very famously dated his Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart for around four years. In addition to those real relationships, however, there have been many false articles about the actor's alleged romances. Here are five examples Gossip Cop has busted.
Back in August 2017, the usually reliable TMZ posted an inaccurate story claiming Pattinson was dating Katy Perry. The website said the two "got super cozy" at a restaurant in Los Angeles. Although it was true the two stars dined together, they're simply close friends. Pattinson was still engaged to FKA Twigs at the time. Unfortunately, the actor's dinner with Perry resulted in several more stories about the two hooking up, all of which Gossip Cop corrected.
The very next day, Gossip Cop busted Celeb Dirty Laundry for falsely claiming Stewart was "getting back" together with Pattinson. The blog completely ignored the fact that Stewart was in a relationship with Stella Maxwell and yes, that Pattinson was still engaged to FKA Twigs at the time. We laid out the facts correcting the story, and also highlighted how often Stewart and Pattinson continue to get incorrectly linked.
In January 2018, NW wrongly reported Pattinson was dating Australian pop star Kylie Minogue. That report quoted a so-called "insider" as saying the two had been dating "on the down low" for a couple of months. That story was also false. Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to the situation, who confirmed there was no romance between the two. Pattinson had watched Minogue perform at the Cannes Film Festival in 2014, but they haven't been seen together in the year that followed.
In October 2018, NW made up a story about Pattinson dating Lily Collins after both stars attended the same charity event in Los Angeles. The article was filled with ridiculous innuendo making it seem as though they were a couple. According to outlet, because the two were seated next to each other and "cracking jokes," they must have been on the verge of dating. There was nothing remotely true about the narrative. Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to Collins, who assured us the two were just friends.
Finally, Gossip Cop called out NW in July for inventing a scenario about Pattinson "getting flirty" with Margot Robbie. The report claimed the two were "bonding" over their respective roles in the DC movie universe, with Pattinson set to take over as Batman, and Robbie starring as Harley Quinn in the upcoming Birds Of Prey. The article was a lame attempt at connecting two stars who are only loosely connected to each other. Robbie also happens to be happily married. The romance rumors were totally bogus, just like the other ones mentioned above.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
