Rihanna “kidnapped” 80 of her most loyal fans on Wednesday for an epic four-hour adventure that ended with the star hosting a premiere screening of the music video for “B*tch Better Have My Money.” As Gossip Cop reported, the singer debuted the video at midnight on Thursday, but several fans were able to hang out with singer, and watch the video before its worldwide release. Check out the photos below!

Gerrick Kennedy, a fan who works as a reporter for the Los Angeles Times, documented the unexpected journey in a column online, revealing it all started when Tidal, the music streaming company launched by Jay Z and other artists, sent an email to its subscribers inviting them to RSVP to a private Rihanna event. The first 80 subscribers to respond then received another email with instructions to drive to a designated parking lot, and then use a map provided to them by staffers to walk the few blocks to the headquarters of NCompass International.

Kennedy revealed phones were confiscated at the site, and described how Rihanna and Tidal had plenty of food and entertainment, like a magician and juggler, to keep everyone happy. But that wasn’t the ultimate destination. Eventually, the fans were all put on buses and given blindfolds as they were taken to another undisclosed location.

It was at this second venue that Rihanna fans got the treat of a lifetime. While sitting in a theater, the music video for “B*tch Better Have My Money” started to play, and once it ended, Rihanna walked out on stage to greet everyone. According to the L.A. Times, Rihanna told the crowd, “I want to thank everybody for signing up and actually showing up — and for allowing me… to kidnap you.” The singer then grabbed a stack of money out of her pocket, and tossed the bills into the screaming crowd.

And the fun night didn’t end there. Rihanna went on to mingle with fans, and take group photos. A photographer on the scene also captured the whole “kidnapping” process.
