Rihanna and Hassan Jameel have been dating for a more than two years, and although they've tried to keep a low profile, they're frequently targeted by the tabloids. Many of these bogus article involving the couple supposedly splitting. Here are just a few times Gossip Cop has debunked such stories.

In June 2018, the MediaTakeOut falsely claimed Rihanna had dumped Jameel and was "back on the market." The phony reported said the singer "just got tired" of her boyfriend and that she "broke his heart." She did no such thing, as the couple is still together. Gossip Cop checked in with a mutual pal of ours and Rihanna, who confirmed the story was false.

Later that same month, Woman's Day published a phony story about Rihanna going on "secret dates" with Robert Pattinson after supposedly breaking up with Jameel. The tabloid even alleged that Katy Perry thought Rihanna and Pattison were "perfect for each other" because both were "single again for the first time in ages." The only problem? Rihanna wasn't single. Pattinson had recently broken up with his ex-fiancee FKA Twigs, but Rihanna was most certainly still together with Jameel. Gossip Cop stands by its reporting today as time has once again proven us to be correct.

One month later, Star wrongly reported Rihanna was on a "revenge diet" after splitting with Jameel. The story was published after photos emerged of the couple appearing to argue while on vacation in Mexico. The magazine claimed the two broke up after the Mexico trip, and Rihanna was determined to "make Hassan eat his heart out" by getting into shape with a crash diet and fitness regime. As Gossip Cop pointed out, there was no need for a "revenge diet" because the two hadn't split. Rihanna later mocked the situation in an Instagram post, joking that they were fighting was over the World Cup.

And earlier this summer, Gossip Cop explained once again why Rihanna is not "back on the market" and why we are more reliable than the tabloids. We backed up our debunking of last year's MediaTakeOut story when additional evidence came out proving Rihanna and her boyfriend are still happily dating. This including an interview with the New York Times in which Rihanna talked about living in London, where Jameel also lives. Simply put, the gossip media has consistently proven to have very little insight into the singer's romance.

Our Verdict

Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
