As Gossip Cop reported, season 13 of “The Bachelorette” premiered on Monday, with Lindsay starting her second search for love. She first appeared on Nick Viall’s season of “The Bachelor” earlier this year, but now she has 31 contestants competing for her affection. During the show, the 33-year-old attorney from Dallas, Texas met a number of men who are hoping to propose to her at the end of the season, but eight of them were sent home.

During her interview with Kimmel, the talk-show host questioned the bachelorette on her engagement, which was revealed ahead of the season premiere. “Has anyone ever announced this before the show started?” Kimmel asked the star. “No, but we joke that this is a season of firsts. I think [the producers] were like, ‘you’re so excited, you’re glowing, just do it,'” Lindsay said.

Kimmel went on to ask Lindsay when she last saw her fiancee. “At the proposal,” she said. “We had a couple of days together, then we went our separate ways. We just finished filming ten days ago.” “So you haven’t had a chance to reconnect, and then breakup, and be on the cover of Us Weekly?” Kimmel joked.

And on keeping her engagement a secret from the public, Lindsay said, “You know my dad is a judge, so I’m groomed for this.” Her sister, however, who Lindsay terms the “weakest link” in her family, could be the one to expose the identity of partner. “She’ll kill me for saying that,” Lindsay said.
