Are Rachel Bilson and Eddie Cibrian feuding? A tabloid claims the “Take Two” co-stars are clashing on set and during interviews. Gossip Cop, however, can debunk the story.

“Rachel & Eddie’s On-Set Rivalry,” reads a headline in the latest edition of Life & Style. According to the magazine’s spin, Bilson and Cibrian “couldn’t resist exchanging barbs during a cringe-inducing interview” on “GMA” last week. The lighthearted chat on the morning show featured the colleagues bantering, much like their characters do on-screen. Cibrian even joked that Bilson is “grumpy” first thing in the morning, prompting her to crack, “This is not going to go well tomorrow at work.”

Watching the official video of the “Good Morning America” interview, it’s readily apparent that the exchange was all in jest. In fact, Cibrian and Bilson showed off the same gentle ribbing as their TV alter egos. But now the tabloid is sensationalizing the interview, and wants readers to believe there really is a feud ratcheting up between the pair. “Rachel and Eddie have a love-hate relationship,” claims a so-called “insider.”

“One minute they’re cracking jokes and the next they’re at each other’s throats,” alleges the outlet’s supposed tipster, who fails to give any examples or any proof to back these assertions up. Still the purported snitch maintains, “There’s a rivalry brewing beneath the surface. If the show gets picked up for a second season, they’re going to have to find a way to get along.”

Actually, it’s evident that they already do. Just two weeks ago, Bilson shared on Instagram a selfie she took with Cibrian, calling him a “dapper dude.” In an Instagram video from March, Bilson showed off “on set shenanigans,” amusingly filming him as he did what they called the “Altoid Challenge.” In yet another Instagram video, this one from June, the duo crack up as they film promos together.

Clearly Bilson is getting along with Cibrian fine. As for his side, Gossip Cop spoke with the actor’s rep, who exclusively tells us the publication’s report is “not true.” Adds the spokesperson, “They get along great and are having a blast working together.” That is readily apparent from Bilson’s Instagram posts.

What’s more is this is now the second time the magazine has tried to give the impression of drama surrounding “Take Two.” In May, the outlet claimed Cibrian banned his wife, LeAnn Rimes, from visiting the set. Not only was that provably untrue, but it’s telling that that narrative isn’t even mentioned in this new one. Perhaps Life & Style should take two, or rather three, with its reporting on the show.
