Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas‘ marriage is frequently the subject of phony tabloid stories. Gossip Cop has debunked several false reports about the newlyweds. Here are five wrong rumors.
Last week, Gossip Cop busted Life & Style for falsely claiming Chopra and Jonas were fighting over her spending habits and expensive taste. Not only did the actress’s rep tells us on the record that the story was “false,” but around the same time it emerged, the musician surprised his wife with a $200,000 Mercedes-Maybach. It’s clear that Jonas enjoys splurging on his wife, so the idea that he’d take umbrage with her spending money is baseless.
Earlier this month, Gossip Cop called out Star for wrongly reporting that Chopra and Jonas were buying a $20 million mansion in Los Angeles. The story was based on claims from an anonymous “source,” but we checked in with the actress’s spokesperson, who told us it was simply “untrue.” Meanwhile, Architectural Digest reported last year that the couple had purchased a $6.5 million home in Beverly Hills.
Gossip Cop busted Star last month for falsely contending that Chopra was pregnant with Jonas’ baby. The actress’s spokesperson told us in no uncertain terms that she’s “not pregnant.” Additionally, Chopra herself said she and Jonas are in no rush to start a family. Last month at the premiere of her new movie Isn’t It Romantic, the actress told reporters, “We both know [having a child] is something that needs to happen, but it’s not something I think about very much.” Simply put, Chopra isn’t expecting a child at this time.
Also last month, Gossip Cop debunked a National Enquirer story about Chopra and Jonas planning more weddings. The story was concocted because the spouses had thrown a number of parties to celebrate their marriage, including two receptions in India and one in North Carolina. The unreliable magazine maintained that the couple would be having another wedding in New York City and another on Long Island. Chopra’s rep dismissed the article as fiction. As time has proven, the newlyweds haven’t had any more wedding celebrations.
And finally, Gossip Cop called out the Enquirer in December for wrongly reporting that Jonas and Chopra were moving to India following their wedding. The tabloid said the musician wanted to start a new life in his wife’s native country and was “getting offers to star in Bollywood movies.” Not only did the actress’s rep assure us the story was made-up, but as noted above, the newlyweds live in Los Angeles.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
