Prince William is not “struggling” with parenthood, nor is he “close to his breaking point,” despite a new report. Gossip Cop can correct this claim. We’re told it’s “rubbish.”
Speaking a few days ago at Centrepoint’s awards ceremony at Kensington Palace, Prince William joked he’s glad Kate Middleton isn’t having twins because, in his words, his “mental health would be tested.” The royal amusingly added, “Two is fine [but] I don’t know how I’m going to cope with three. I’m going to be permanently tired.” But according to the often disproven Celeb Dirty Laundry, the Duke of Cambridge made it “crystal clear that he’s close to his breaking point.”
Without a single source to support its premise, the unreliable website asserts, “Even though the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have the kind of help that other parents can only dream of having, they still have problems.” Of course, Prince William didn’t say anything remotely scandalous at the awards ceremony, but the blog claims, “The last thing he would want right now is for Kate Middleton to be pregnant with twins. He’s a tired father as it is and he doesn’t need double the trouble.”
Gossip Cop fact-checked the article and we’ve determined it’s entirely fabricated. While Prince William admitted that having twins would be a handful, joking that he’s already exhausted from having two children, the future king certainly didn’t make it “crystal clear” at the event that he was close to his “breaking point.” The untrustworthy outlet is simply manufacturing an issue where this is none.
Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time Gossip Cop has busted that website for making up an untrue report about the Duke of Cambridge. In November, we corrected the online publication when it falsely claimed Prince William was being “insensitive” to pregnant Middleton’s needs. In that concocted narrative, similarly based on an innocent remark Prince William made about eating meat as he judged a charity “cook-off,” CDL unfairly alleged his comments were “rather insensitive,” given the fact that Middleton’s favorite meals “are probably off limits.”
Much like that fabricated and frankly ludicrous tale, this latest one about Prince William allegedly “struggling” with parenthood and being close to his “breaking point” is also ridiculous. Gossip Cop checked in with a royal source, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, and we’re told the story is complete “rubbish.” The website’s insistence on turning Prince William’s innocuous comments into major issues is simply laughable.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
