Prince William and Kate Middleton are not “moving out of Kensington Palace,” despite a new, made-up report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this claim. We’re told it’s “rubbish.”

Celeb Dirty Laundry, a site that has a track record for being caught fabricating stories about the royals, now alleges Middleton and Prince William are contemplating packing up and “moving out of Kensington Palace.” The repeatedly discredited blog claims Prince William doesn’t want his two kids, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, to “grow up behind palace walls.” Without any proof or sources to back up its story, the webloid maintains the future king of England wants to leave the London palace and live somewhere “as far away from the paparazzi as possible,” perhaps even at his country estate, Amner Hall, where Prince George and Princess Charlotte can “run around.” “London is the last place that William wants to be with Kate and their kids,” adds the outlet.

Let Gossip Cop explain how CDL manufactured this baseless article. In a new interview with British GQ, Prince William said he wanted to bring up his kids in a “happy, stable, secure world,” and it’s important to him that Prince George grows up in “a real, living environment.” “I don’t want him growing up behind palace walls, he has to be out there,” noted the royal, adding, “The media make it harder but I will fight for them to have a normal life.”

Prince William did not say anything about “moving out of Kensington Palace.” What he was conveying was that the life of a royal is atypical, but he’ll strive to give his kids a “normal life,” so that they can experiences everyday things beyond the metaphorical “palace walls.” He simply wants his Prince Charlotte and Prince George to be kids and enjoy their childhood, with as little intrusion by the media as possible. A royal insider confirms to Gossip Cop that was the import of Prince William’s remarks to the magazine, and assures us the claim about the royals wanting to leave their London residence is “rubbish.

As noted above, CDL often makes up false claims about the royal couple. In the past, for example, Gossip Cop has busted the untrustworthy site for publishing a slew of inaccurate articles, including tales about Prince William and Middleton fighting and leading separate lives. And despite the webloid’s reports of marital discord, the two remain happily together. Once again, whether you have high blood pressure or not, take CDL’s stories about Middleton and Prince William with nothing more than a grain of salt.
