Prince William is not planning a $1 million bachelor party for Prince Harry at a ski resort in Switzerland, despite a new tabloid report. Gossip Cop can correct this claim. We’re told it’s “false.”

According to In Touch, the Duke of Cambridge is “shelling out big bucks for his brother’s farewell to single life.” A so-called “source” is quoted as telling the gossip magazine, “The posh ski resort is a longtime favorite of the royals, especially the younger generation. The whole trip will cost about $1 million.” The outlet’s alleged “insider” continues to claim that Prince William is planning to fly his younger brother and “15 of his pals out to the Swiss alps on a private jet that will be stocked with champagne, beer and snacks to enjoy on the journey.”

But that’s not all. The publication’s questionable “source” goes on to assert that Prince Harry’s costly bachelor party will be an “action-packed weekend with endless activities to choose from, including skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, heli-skiing and ice karting,” but with “all the bars and nightclubs the village has to offer, the activities after skiing are as important as the skiing itself.”

Further purports the tabloid’s dubious tipster, “They’ll start their evenings with shots of tequila, Harry’s favorite drink.” And to conclude its story, In Touch quotes its supposed “insider” as saying, “Queen Elizabeth calls William the ‘sensible one’ and has already ordered him to keep a watchful eye on Harry. [Prince William] wants Harry to have a bachelor party he’ll never forget. After all, you only get married once!”

Let Gossip Cop set the record straight. While it’s been rumored in the British tabloids that Prince Harry’s bachelor party will be in Verbier, Switzerland, it still remains unconfirmed. What’s more, Prince William’s secret bachelor party in 2011 was relatively low-key, costing an estimated $3,600, so it’s hard to believe that Prince Harry’s bachelor weekend is set to cost an outrageous $1 million. Additionally, the magazine’s assertion about Queen Elizabeth telling Prince William to keep an eye on his younger brother during his bachelor weekend is completely made-up. The entire article is nothing more than a fabrication.

Of course, this latest report is coming from the same publication that previously claimed Meghan Markle was pregnant following her engagement to Prince Harry, so we’re hardly surprised by its latest tall tale. When we looked into the tabloid’s claim, a palace insider assured Gossip Cop the story is “false.”
