A new story claiming to know Queen Elizabeth’s reaction to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle “living together before marriage” is entirely made-up. Gossip Cop can correct this fabrication, which was posted by one particularly unreliable website.

According to HollywoodLife, which is known to tell tales about the couple, Prince Harry and the “Suits” actress are “finally” moving into his Nottingham Cottage at Kensington Palace “after over a year of dating,” and the site alleges to know the Queen’s reaction to it. In the seemingly manufactured article, a so-called “palace insider” is quoted as saying, “Prince William and Kate Middleton lived together before marrying, so it’s no shocker that Harry and Meghan plan to do the same. It’s such common practice these days for couples to cohabit before taking the next step, and the Queen has no objections.”

The site’s most assuredly fake “royal source” goes on to purport, “Harry and Meghan have the Queen’s blessing, she totally approves of Meghan and just wants to see her grandson settled and happy. If that means him living with Meghan before walking down the aisle, then so be it.”

While HollywoodLife’s assertion is certainly plausible, with the likelihood of the couple moving in together in the near future being highly likely, a genuine and reputable “palace insider” hasn’t told the gossip website about Queen Elizabeth’s reaction to the couple “living together before marriage.” Additionally, a “royal source” wouldn’t refer to Prince Harry as just “Harry.” But more importantly, they wouldn’t refer to Catherine or the Duchess of Cambridge as “Kate Middleton,” which Gossip Cop uses only as a matter of convenience.

Of course, we’re not remotely surprised by the outlet’s latest concoction. Remember, Gossip Cop called out the aptly nicknamed HollywoodLies for flip-flopping on the status of Prince Harry and Markle’s relationship, having previously claimed in a made-up story that the couple were engaged. Once again, the bad blog is just pretending to have reputable royal sources, when it provably doesn’t. The site’s “palace insider” is also known as May Dupp.
