A report claiming Prince Harry is asking Idris Elba for "advice on how to be cool again" is completely made-up. The bogus article says the royal thinks he's lost his touch after marrying Meghan Markle. Gossip Cop can debunk the ridiculous premise.
According to RadarOnline, Prince Harry recently asked for the actor's help to make him "smoother" so he can better satisfy his wife. An alleged insider tells the blog, "It's ironic Harry is turning to Idris for advice, as he used to be the 'party Prince' who loved the ladies... but since marrying Meghan, he's become a shadow of his former self."
The supposed source adds, "Harry has totally lost any cool he once had, he now sees Idris as the answer." The seemingly nonexistent insider goes on to say that the royal "quizzed [Elba] on how to be as cool as he is," but the actor "must think it's all a bit pathetic."
The site's storyline is completely fabricated. Gossip Cop checked in with a reliable source close to Elba, who laughed off the ridiculous claim. It's also worth noting, there's no indication that the royal has lost his mojo, as the outlet alleges. E! News just reported that Prince Harry "stole the show" at a performance of Hamilton in London on Wednesday night when he got up on stage and started singing a few lyrics from the show.
Meanwhile, Time magazine similarly reported that Prince Harry "charmed the world again" by belting out a tune on Wednesday night. On Thursday, BuzzFeed wrote, "Everyone knows Prince Harry is the coolest member of the Royal Family." And in July, New York Magazine reported that Prince Harry and Markle "showed up looking so sleek, so stylish, so incredibly attractive... like a cool aunt and uncle" at the baptism of his newborn nephew Prince Louis. Simply put, the non-tabloid media agrees that the royal is as "cool" as ever.
It's also absurd that Elba would find the royal "pathetic" for asking his advice on how to be cool, which never happened. Earlier this month, Elba said that Prince Harry's wedding was "one of the highlights of my life." He added, "It was a beautiful experience, like all weddings are." The actor clearly has a lot of respect and admiration for his friend. Regardless, Gossip Cop can confirm that the royal isn't going around asking movie stars how to be cool.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
