Prince Harry Meghan Markle Engaged Secret

A new tabloid cover story purporting to have “bombshell details of Prince Harry’s proposal to Meghan Markle” is entirely made-up. Gossip Cop is assured that no one in the couple’s inner circle has revealed they’re “secretly engaged,” especially not to an American tabloid.

A so-called “source” tells Star that Prince Harry proposed to his girlfriend in Zambia over the summer during their three-week African safari. According to the questionable insider, the royal wanted to top Prince William’s engagement, which also took place in Africa, so he gifted Markle with a custom-made diamond ring that’s “even bigger than Kate [Middleton’s].” “Harry’s always been a forceful personality, but asking the girl he loves to marry him was no easy feat,” adds the outlet’s dubious insider. “He told her how much he adored her and all the reasons they were right for each other. And of course, she said yes!”

The publication’s seemingly nonexistent source further contends that Prince Harry and his girlfriend visited Prince Charles and Queen Elizabeth shortly after their engagement to break the big news. “[Meghan] was anxious but it went well,” says the alleged insider. “And the queen was even said to be ‘charmed’ by Harry’s new fiancee.” In a seeming attempt to cover its tracks, the untrustworthy magazine then comes up with the reason why the palace hasn’t announced their supposed engagement.

“The secrecy is meant to protect Harry and Meghan, who won’t have a scrap of privacy as soon as the engagement is public,” says the “source.” “They’re crazy in love and so happy, and they want to relish these quiet moments for as long as possible.” But Gossip Cop checked in with a rep for Markle, who exclusively assures us the tabloid’s article is “made-up.” We’re further told an engagement announcement “has not been made” by either the royal or actress. The proposal rumors are unconfirmed, but even if the couple is secretly engaged, Star has no insight into the situation. The magazine’s “bombshell details” are all bogus.

Less than two weeks ago, Gossip Cop busted the unreliable outlet for falsely claiming Markle was pregnant with Prince Harry’s baby. Oddly enough, this latest article fails to make any mention of a pregnancy. And earlier last month, we called out the magazine for making up a story about Prince Harry and Markle moving to America and quitting the royal life. The tabloid, which often publishes contradictory reports about the couple, clearly has little knowledge about their relationship.
