Pippa Middleton is not demanding Prince Harry attend her wedding alone to prevent Meghan Markle from stealing the spotlight, despite a made-up report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this fabricated claim. We’re told it’s not true.

“Petty Pippa’s Restricted Guest List,” blares a headline from this week’s National Enquirer, which goes on to claim “bridezilla” Middleton is demanding Prince Harry attend her upcoming nuptials without Markle. “Harry is very upset he can’t take Meghan, but he hasn’t given up working on Pippa,” says the magazine’s misinformed source, who adds that Middleton has implemented a strict “no boyfriends or girlfriends” rule in an attempt to avoid being outdone by the “Suits” actress on her big day.

Gossip Cop looked into the story, and found out it’s wrong on several accounts. First, and most significantly, a source close to Markle tells us the actress actually was invited and will be attending. However, the actress won’t be at the church ceremony because etiquette dictates that only those who are married or engaged witness the religious exchanging of vows. Marble will be Prince Harry’s guest at the party afterwards. Additionally, a royal insider exclusively assures us the tabloid’s report is “not true.”

This is not the first time the National Enquirer has created an entirely fictional report about Middleton’s upcoming wedding. In January, Gossip Cop busted the publication for falsely alleging Middleton refused to invite Markle to her wedding. And shortly before that tall tale, we debunked the outlet for wrongly claiming Kate Middleton was taking Pippa to Las Vegas for a wild bachelorette party. Much like those inaccurate articles, the latest one that claims Middleton is demanding Prince Harry not bring Markle to her wedding is similarly untrue.
