Was Paul Rudd’s wife upset about him supposedly partying with young women while filming Marvel movies in Atlanta last year? One of the tabloids claims the actor’s Avengers: Infinity Wars co-stars such as Robert Downey Jr. spent time with their families while he went out at night. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk this nonsense.

“Paul Rudd’s Wild Nights Without His Wife!” reads a headline in the latest issue of Star. The actor spent much of 2017 filming the sequels to Ant-Man and The Avengers in Atlanta, and now the unreliable magazine says his wife Julie Yaeger was frustrated by his off-set antics. “Marvel stars are always given a hero’s welcome, but Paul parties way harder than any of his co-stars,” says an alleged source.

The outlet’s questionable insider further contends that Rudd spent his downtime from filming “swarming in free shots and young women,” while Downey Jr. hung out with his wife Susan and their two young kids. Rudd has two young children of his own, but according to the suspicious source, they were “nowhere to be found.” The tipster adds, “And perhaps with good reason. The bar scene isn’t exactly family-friendly.”

But Gossip Cop checked in with a source involved in the production of the Marvel movies, who exclusively tells us that the tabloid’s story is entirely false. In January, Rudd and Downey Jr. celebrated the last day of filming Infinity Wars with a special Avengers-themed cake, but Rudd didn’t head out for a wild night of partying after that. A mutual pal of ours and the actor also assures us that the magazine’s account of events is completely made-up.

Additionally, Rudd and Yaeger, who are celebrating their 15th wedding anniversary later this month, largely keep their relationship private, so it’s unlikely a “source” close to the couple would tell a tabloid how she feels about him allegedly “partying.” Regardless, the actor isn’t hitting up bars with women while he’s away working, so it’s a non-issue.

It’s also worth noting, Gossip Cop has busted several bogus stories surrounding the filming of The Avengers franchise. We previously called out Star’s sister publication, the National Enquirer, for falsely claiming that the male cast members’s wives were upset about their husbands working with Scarlett Johansson. This latest article involving Rudd is more nonsense.
