Has Patrick Dempsey's wife, Jillian Fink, really forbid him from socializing with Berlin, I Love You co-stars Jared Leto and Orlando Bloom? That's the claim in one of this week's new tabloids, but Gossip Cop has exclusively learned the truth.
All three actors are currently attached to appear in the ensemble romance film, which will consist of 10 short segments from different directors. In addition to co-starring, Dempsey will make his directorial debut with one of the shorts. An article in the latest issue of Star, however, alleges the actor's wife doesn't want him spending time off the set with "notorious playboys" Leto and Bloom.
A supposed "source" tells the magazine, "Jillian is well aware of Orlando and Jared's reputations, and she knows Patrick is susceptible, so she point-blank asked him not to socialize with them. She didn't really want Patrick to take this job because their marriage is still fragile." The outlet's dubious insider adds, "The last thing Jillian wants is for Patrick to be fraternizing with those guys. It's a nightmare for her."
It should be noted, it's yet to be announced if Bloom and Leto will be even working with Dempsey on his section of the anthology film, or on another segment altogether. Regardless, Gossip Cop is assured by a source close to the situation that Fink never ordered her husband to stay away from the fellow actors, nor is she the least bit worried about his involvement in the upcoming movie.
Of course, this isn't the first time we've had to debunk a report about a rift between the spouses following their reconciliation last year. Gossip Cop recently busted OK!'s sister outlet, RadarOnline, for falsely claiming Dempsey and Fink were having marriage problems again because he was putting his film career before his family. We also debunked OK!'s other sister publication, Star, when it wrongly reporting Dempsey was hooking up with Renee Zellweger on the set of Bridget Jones's Baby. This latest article is equally phony.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
