Paris Jackson's family is not "freaking out" or worried about her solo backpacking trip in France, despite a fabricated report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this claim. We're told it's untrue.
The 19-year-old model daughter of the late Michael Jackson is currently backpacking around France, and one particular outlet is pushing a false narrative about her solo European trip. RadarOnline blares in a headline, "Fears For Paris! Jackson's Family 'Freaking Out' As She Goes Off The Rails In France." According to the website, a so-called "source" says, "Paris is telling her family that she's young and just wants to enjoy life right now, but no one is buying it."
The outlet's supposed "family insider" contends her grandparents "Katherine and Joe [Jackson] would love to put a bodyguard on her," but there's "nothing they can do to stop her." And in an attempt to lend credence to its bogus premise about Jackson going "off the rails," the website insinuates that the model's godfather, Macaulay Culkin, who was also recently in France, is a bad influence on her. "Paris's family still worries when she hangs out with him," asserts the outlet's questionable tipster.
Exactly how has Jackson allegedly gone "off the rails"? The website doesn't offer any specifics about that. Of course, if the Jacksons were really "freaking out," with their vast wealth they could easily have someone keep an eye on their granddaughter. It appears the outlet bought photos of Jackson backpacking and was open to publishing a story with a headline that's racier than its reality.
Gossip Cop investigated the claims, and the article is wrong. Contrary to the outlet's assertion, Jackson's family is not "terrified" or "freaking out" about her well-being and safety during her solo backpacking trip around France, nor is the young model going "off the rails." As opposed to the blog's unnamed "insider," Jackson's rep assures Gossip Cop on the record, "Paris is perfectly healthy," adding that "these 'concerns' are unfounded and unwarranted." Jackson, who has been exploring Paris in recent weeks, is simply enjoying her European vacation, and doesn't need a slew of outlets concocting untrue tales about her.
It should be noted, this isn't the first time Gossip Cop has called out the often disproven website for posting an off-base article about the model. Among the many RadarOnline stories we have corrected was one that falsely maintained Jackson was writing a tell-all book revealing all of her family's secrets. There was no truth to that fabricated claim, and the same goes for this latest one about her being "off the rails."
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
