Ozzy Osbourne is not on the verge of death, as some tabloids are incorrectly reporting this week. Gossip Cop has investigated the rumor. Not only is it untrue, but the legendary rocker’s health is actually improving.

Both the National Enquirer and its sister publication RadarOnline are reporting this week that Osbourne’s notorious hard-partying past has come back to bite him, and now he’s just months away from dying. The outlets both quote a so-called “pal” of the rocker saying, “He’s had a whole host of health woes, and it looks like the ‘Crazy Train’ may have reached the end of the line.”

Of course, a true “pal” of Osbourne’s would never call tell a tabloid he’s dying, nor would they joke about the situation by referring to the singer’s life a “crazy train.” Both publications also quote a doctor who’s never treated Osbourne as saying he’s “living on borrowed time” and is at risk of a number of liver diseases, including cirrhosis and liver cancer.

Osbourne’s history with drugs and alcohol may indeed put him at higher risk, but there’s no proof he has any of these ailments today. The Black Sabbath frontman has also been sober for several years now. It’s true that Osbourne had multiple health scares earlier this year, including two staph infections, a repertory infection, and a fall at his home in April, which forced him to postpone his European tour dates. However, the rocker’s health has improved significantly in recent months.

The “Prince Of Darkness” himself addressed his health scares in an interview with SiriusXM radio in late August. “It’s been one of the most [expletive] up years of my life,” Osbourne said, before noting that his health is improving. This sentiment was backed up by his wife, Sharon, who told Jimmy Kimmel in September that her husband is “getting a lot better but it’s been a very, very hard road.”

Meanwhile, Osbourne’s daughter Kelly addressed her father’s health at a press event last month, saying, “He’s on the mend, he’s getting there.” Kelly further stressed the her dad would be back on stage “soon.” In fact, Osbourne’s canceled tour dates are scheduled to be made up starting January 31 in Nottingham, England. The 70-year-old musician will continue his tour through next July.

It’s worth noting, this isn’t the first time the Enquirer has wrongly predicted doom for the Osbournes. In May 2017, the publication falsely reported Sharon Osbourne only had “weeks to live” following a back surgery. Gossip Cop debunked that phony article, and so did Sharon when she addressed the bogus report on her show, The Talk. She said, “I have always wanted to be on those tabloids. I wish they’d just said I was joining Elvis in space.” Thankfully, her husband won’t be joining Elvis anytime soon either.

Update: Sharon Osbourne blasted this report on her show, The Talk, on October 3rd, calling it “cold” and “callous,” and adding that her husband is “getting better. He’s recuperating.” She ended her rebuke by calling the report “disrespectful” and finally, that “Ozzy ain’t going nowhere.”
