Owen Wilson is NOT getting married to actress/model Scarlett Benchley, despite a completely false report in one of this week’s new tabloids. Gossip Cop can set the record straight.

An article in the latest issue of Star links the comedic actor to Benchley, claiming he’s been dating her for a year and is ready to propose. A supposed “source,” however, goes on to say that Jade Duell and Caroline Lindqvist, Wilson’s ex-girlfriends and the mother of his two sons, have an issue with the model being around their young kids.

“Owen never wanted to settle down before he met Scarlett,” a supposed “source” tells the magazine. “It seems something changed. He’s already talking about having more kids with Scarlett and even introduced her to his 6-year-old son, Ford.” The questionable insider goes on to claim that Duell, the boy’s mom, put an end to the visits when she found out “strictly because of jealousy.”

The outlet’s dubious source goes on to say Lindqvist, who shares a three-year-old son with Wilson, may join Duell in “ganging up on Scarlett” because “when it comes to their kids, they don’t want another woman in the picture.” The “insider” continues, “But if Owen doesn’t stand up to them, there might not be one.”

But Gossip Cop checked in with a rep for Wilson, who exclusively assure us the tabloid’s story is entirely “false.” In fact, there’s no indication that Wilson is even dating Benchley, let along ready to propose. Regardless, we’re told the actor isn’t getting married, nor are the mother of his children teaming up against the model.

Unfortunately, we’re not surprised by this bogus story. Star is the same outlet that published a bogus cover story alleging Julia Roberts was dumping her husband for Wilson. Gossip Cop also called out the tabloid’s sister outlet, RadarOnline, when it wrongly alleged Wilson could be driven to suicide over the death of his father. This latest article about the actor’s nonexistent nuptials is equally bogus.
