Celeb Dirty Laundry is flip-flopping on Camilla Parker Bowles' opinion of Meghan Markle. The unreliable website previously claimed the Duchess of Cornwall warned the actress against marrying Prince Harry, but now it alleges Bowles is "most delighted" with their engagement and has gained a "new royal ally." Gossip Cop can expose the outlet's erratic reporting.
In July, the often discredited CDL wrongly claimed Bowles was "not happy" about Markle's relationship with her stepson. The webloid had zero proof to back up its assertion, but still argued that Bowles didn't think Markle was "good enough" for Prince Harry and had even threatened to make the star's life a "living hell." At the time, Gossip Cop checked in with a trustworthy royal source, who assured us Bowles didn't warn Markle against marrying Prince Harry.
But following the announcement of Prince Harry and Markle's engagement, the website decided to reverse its narrative by publishing an article with the headline, "Camilla Parker-Bowles Most Delighted With Prince Harry And Meghan Markle's Engagement: Gains New Royal Ally." In its new report, the outlet states, "Camilla is eager to get to know Meghan. She's got a great work ethic, she's passionate about her charity work and best of all, she's already taking her future role as a princess very seriously." The site goes on to add, "Camilla seems the most eager to welcome Meghan into the family. After all, the two women have a lot in common."
Of course, the webloid is changing its initial story based on Bowles' reaction to her stepson's engagement. "It's brilliant!" the Duchess exclaimed as she spoke to reporters on Tuesday. She went on to gush, "America's loss is our gain. We are absolutely delighted. As you can see, they're so happy. Sometimes in a climate where we're surrounded by a lot of bad news, it's a real joy to have a bit of good news for once."
Suddenly, only after the Duchess of Cornwall herself said she was excited for the newly-engaged couple, does the site claim the royal is "eager" to welcome the "Suits" star into the family, a far cry from its previous article. CDL's inconsistent reporting proves that the bad blog doesn't know what it's talking about, and instead, tries to dupe its readers with a bunch of fabricated stories. It's all made-up.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
