The remaining members of One Direction are thanking fans for their support in the wake of Zayn Malik shockingly quitting the band.

As Gossip Cop reported, it was announced on Wednesday that Malik has departed the group, which will continue on as a four-piece. The news nearly broke Twitter, and continues to dominate the trending topics nearly 24 hours later. While a joint statement was previously released from Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, and Niall Horan, now each has taken to Twitter to personally speak out about the unexpected developments.

Styles was the first to break the silence, tweeting late Wednesday, “All the love as always. H.” Payne followed a short time later, writing on his account, “So glad to be in bed after a long and strange 24 hours.” But while their messages were vague, Tomlinson and Horan opted to directly address the situation,

Tomlinson tweeted Thursday morning, “Been a crazy couple of days but know that we are going to work harder than ever to deliver the best album we’ve ever made for you guys!” He added in a second tweet, “Your support has been incredible, truly incredible so thank you so much!” Horan’s message began similarly, with the Irish singer writing, “Been a mad few days and your support has been incredible as per usual! This in turn Spurs us on to make the best music we possibly can [and] Put on great shows / tours for you guys.”

“You are the best fans in the world and you deserve nothing less from us!” Horan continued. “The lads and I arrived in South Africa this morning. We cannot wait to see all you SA fans for the first time and have great shows.” The next concert, part of the One Direction “On The Road Again” tour, is scheduled for Saturday at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.

Simon Cowell, who put the One Direction members together as a group after they auditioned as solo artists on “The X Factor” UK in 2010 and went on to sign them to a record deal, also took to Twitter to comment. “Sometimes strength is not defined by numbers,” tweeted the music mogul. He went on, “As always you the fans have shown your amazing support to all the boys. When you have great talent great things happen.” TELL US: Now that there has been some time for the news to sink in, what do you think Malik leaving One Direction, and the group’s news messages?
