One Direction Alan Carr Video 2015

One Direction appeared on Friday’s “Alan Carr: Chatty Man,” discussing everything from the upcoming hiatus to Harry Styles’ man bun. Watch below!

The topic of Styles’ hair came up when Carr asked if the guys use any disguises when they go out in public. “I don’t like your man bun,” the British comedian told the singer, leading to boos from the audience. Always polite, Styles simply said, “That’s okay.”

When he wasn’t sharing his distaste for Styles’ hairstyle, Carr wanted the dirt on which member brought up the idea of taking a break. Niall Horan instead offered, “I think we just felt like with the schedule the way its been for the last five years — we’ve been touring for years, made five albums — it can get quite hectic. So I think we just felt like it was the right time.”

Asked about giving a message to the fans, Liam Payne said, “We say thank you a lot, but I don’t think there’s any amount of time where you can stop saying thank you when something like this has happened to you.” At that point, Payne was interrupted by the crowd shouting “we love you,” leading Styles to amusingly yelled out, “Thank you!” Payne hilariously then continued like nothing happened, saying, “Yeah, it changed our lives so much, and we’re just eternally grateful, and we’ll be back very soon.

Louis Tomlinson then went to chime in, and even had to ask the audience to stop cheering so he could have “one second” to speak. “What’s so great about this time is I think we’re gonna find it nice to have the time to reflect and think about everything we’ve done,” he said, “and I think it’s important the fans do it as well, because we’ve done this together, and it’s pretty incredible.”

And then the screaming was allowed to commence. The appearance also included a performance of “History.” Check out the videos below!
