O.J. Simpson is confirming what Gossip Cop first told readers six years ago: He is not Khloe Kardashian's father. Since 2012, Gossip Cop has busted this false rumor more than a dozen times. In light of Simpson's new comments, we're taking a look back at the untrue claims.
When recently spotted by paparazzi in Las Vegas, Simpson was asked if "congratulations are in order" due to Kardashian's pregnancy. "Well, for Bob," he replied, referring to the star's actual father, the late Robert Kardashian. Simpson went on, "I don't know for me. I don't think for me. I have nothing to do with it. Khloe and the girls were all terrific girls when they were growing up, nice and terrific. And I think today they're still nice and terrific, except they've kind of added sex appeal to their resume."
"I'm happy for them," Simpson continued. "Congratulations to her, but trust me, I have nothing to do with it. I would be proud if I had anything to do with it, but I don't." With those remarks, Simpson made clear he's not Kardashian's dad. But that's not what the gossip media has been telling readers for the better part of a decade.
In January of 2012, almost exactly six years ago to the day, Gossip Cop busted the National Enquirer for exclaiming on its cover, "O.J. Bombshell: I'm Khloe's Real Dad!" The next month, Kardashian joked about the bogus allegation, "I would hope if I'm half black and half white, I would be a little tanner." She added, "I don't know where these stories come from." But that was just the tip of the iceberg.
That June, the supermarket tabloid followed up its faux "bombshell" report with a new story claiming Kardashian wanted a "prison showdown" with the jailed Simpson because she was "emotionally obsessed by the persistent rumors she's O.J.'s daughter." Then in July, the gossip magazine alleged she was "refusing" to take a DNA test to find out her true paternity.
In April 2013, the narrative started back up again, with the National Enquirer ridiculously claiming Kardashian "invited" Simpson to live with her following his prison release because she was "desperate" to find out if he's her "real father." Later that year, In Touch picked up the storyline with a cover that blared, "Bombshell Paternity Claim: O.J. Is Khloe's Father!" And in 2014, Kardashian again mocked the bogus claims when she guest co-hosted "Chelsea Lately." She cracked, "Probably the biggest rumor floating out there is that O.J. Simpson is my dad. Well, I really hope that's not the case because I did [expletive] him once."
Unfortunately, that didn't stop disreputable outlets from still peddling nonsense. In November 2015, RadarOnline claimed Kardashian was "begging" Simpson to take a paternity test. Then in February of 2016, Star published a cover announcing, "Kris [Jenner's] Shocking Affair With O.J." The front of the issue further exclaimed, "Yes! He's Khloe's Real Father!" The absurdity continued the following September with the National Enquirer contending Kardashian wanted to get plastic surgery to "distance herself from O.J." and "squash all questions about her paternity once and for all."
And when Simpson came up for parole this past summer, there was another round of phony tales. In July 2017, Star ran a story with the headline, "O.J. Gets Paroled! Khloe Begs: Let Me See My Dad!" It was again said she wanted a DNA test. That same month, In Touch alleged Kardashian and Jenner were "panicking" over Simpson's impending release because of renewed speculation about the reality star's paternity. Then in August, RadarOnline claimed Kardashian was demanding her mom "tell the truth" about her possible biological connection to Simpson.
The saga continued after Simpson was freed in October, with Star asserting he called Kardashian as soon as he was released. A supposed "insider" was quoted as saying, "He suggested meeting face to face so he can apologize for all the paternity rumors and even take a DNA test if they want." And in November, OK! actually alleged Kardashian wanted to conduct Simpson's first post-prison interview to address whether he's her father. Of course, no interview ever happened. Now just two months later, the ex-con himself has thrown water on the dad-daughter conspiracy theories.
It's also worth noting that in 2013, Kardashian blasted In Touch for the "horrible lie that my dad is not my biological father" after it ran a "Not A Kardashian" cover story. And in 2014, after other tabloid tales suggested she might've been fathered by Lionel Richie or Alex Roldan, she exclusively quipped to Gossip Cop, "I've had so many dads my head is spinning." And after recounting all of this, ours is, too.
Truth be told, Simpson's new denial could spark a new round of made-up stories. But if that happens, Gossip Cop will be here to once again separate fact from fiction.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
