Seth Rogen Night Before Trailer

Seth Rogen and his pals Anthony Mackie and Joseph Gordon-Levitt wreak havoc on Christmas Eve in Night Before, which released its first trailer on Tuesday. In the movie, the guys play longtime friends who decide to end their annual tradition of getting together on Christmas Eve, but not before things go completely awry. Watch the trailer below.

In the Night Before, Rogen’s character Ethan is about to become a first-time father, and is freaking out about it. Mackie’s character Isaac is now a big-shot football player, who feels he’s become too famous to hang out with his friends, while Gordon-Levitt’s character Chris is finally coming to terms with the death of his parents on Christmas Eve several years ago. Because they’re all moving in different directions with their lives, Chris decided it’s time for them to end their tradition of partying on Christmas Eve.

However, Ethan’s wife, played by Jillian Bell, gives the father-to-be mushrooms and cocaine before the guys’ last Christmas Eve together. “You have been such a rock throughout this whole pregnancy. You’re like my Dwayne Johnson,” says Bell, adding “Tonight just focus on yourself.”

Among the many wild adventures the friends have is Ethan, Chris and and Isaac recreating Kanye West’s “Runaway” on a child toy piano; Chris yelling expletive-filled Wu-Tang Clan lyrics at Bell’s baby bump; and Ethan throwing up during the middle of Catholic mass before running out the front door screaming “We did not kill Jesus” while wearing a Star of David sweater.

A number celebrities make cameos in the movie, including Mindy Kaling and Lizzy Caplan. Miley Cyrus also appears briefly to sing karaoke to her song “Wrecking Ball” with Gordon-Levitt’s character.
