Did Nicole Kidman really force Keith Urban to visit her in Australia during his brief time off from touring because she doesn't trust him to be alone in America? That's the case according to one of this week's new tabloids, which alleges the actress has "control issues." Gossip Cop, however, can set the record straight.
An article in the latest issue of OK! says Kidman demanded her husband fly from the U.S. to Australia during his six-day break in August to visit her on the set of Aquaman. A so-called "source" tells the magazine, "Nicole couldn't stand the idea of Keith being left alone to his own devices in America. There's been so much speculation about their marriage that she's feeling really insecure."
The outlet's questionable insider goes on to say Urban "really wanted to be spending that time resting," but his wife insisted he travel across the globe to visit her. "He's exhausted," adds the seemingly phony source. "It's hard for him not to resent her when she acts so clingy." But Gossip Cop looked into the tabloid's tale of marital mistrust, and we've learned the truth.
A reliable source close to the couple exclusively tells Gossip Cop that Kidman never pressured her husband to fly to Australia against his will, nor is she worried about the country star being by himself. This is simply a phony story designed to create controversy where none exists. Of course, OK! has a habit of trying to break up the happy spouses, so this latest attempt to do so isn't surprising.
Gossip Cop previously busted the publication for wrongly reporting Urban gave Kidman a career ultimatum. That story said the musician told his wife to choose either their marriage or making movies, but it was all fabricated. We also corrected the outlet last year when it falsely claimed Kidman and Urban's marriage had reached its "breaking point." The tabloid clearly knows very little about the couple's relationship, and this latest bogus article is yet another example.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
