A tabloid claims Nicole Kidman is having a "breakdown" over her adopted kids with Tom Cruise, Isabella and Connor, embracing Scientology. The story is inaccurate. Gossip Cop can correct it.
According to NW, the actress's personal life is "falling apart" as her adult children dive deeper into the controversial religion. The magazine further contends that Kidman has been "showing the strain" on the set of her upcoming HBO series "The Undoing." To back up this claim, the outlet includes photos of the actress shooting a tense scene in which her character is having a meltdown. The images were taken on the New York City set of the show and the cameras were rolling.
An alleged insider goes on to say that Kidman is considering healing her "heartache" by having another child with husband Keith Urban, with whom she shares two young girls. "She desperately wants one more before she gets any older," adds the seemingly phony source, who maintains that the actress "isn't coping" well with Isabella and Connor's increasing involvement in Scientology. "She's desperate and doesn't know what to do," adds the suspicious tipster.
The magazine's story is simply untrue. Just a few months ago, Kidman spoke to Who magazine about Isabella and Connor's involvement in Scientology. The actress noted, "They are able to make their own decisions. They have made choices to be Scientologists and as a mother, it's my job to love them." Kidman further stressed she supports her kids' freedom to forge their own paths in life and will "always offer unconditional love."
As for the idea the actress wants another child to fill some sort of void, she's already made it clear she's done having kids. In an interview with People magazine in January, Kidman explained that she and Urban would have had more kids if they had met at a younger age, but they're happy with two at this point. Shortly before that, Kidman told "Entertainment Tonight" she's "past [the] point" of having more children, but is "very thrilled with what I have."
The actress, who just last week enjoyed a PDA-filled night with her husband at the ACM Awards, simply isn't in the midst of a breakdown. NW is the same tabloid that Gossip Cop busted last year for falsely claiming Urban was begging Kidman to take a break from work to save their marriage. In reality, the country star has always supported his wife's career. The actress has continued working steadily and her marriage is going strong. This latest article involving her adopted children with Cruise is more fiction.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
