Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban were the subjects of a lot of false tabloid stories in 2018. As for the top wrong rumor about the spouses, one of the tabloids claimed they were having a third baby to save their supposedly troubled marriage. Gossip Cop debunked the story when it first emerged, and time has proven it to be untrue.
In October, In Touch published a bogus cover story claiming Kidman was pregnant with a "miracle baby" at 51-years-old after undergoing IVF treatments. The magazine said that the actress and her husband, who are parents to two young girls, decided during couple's therapy that they should have another baby together.
An alleged insider told the outlet that the spouses of 12 years had been going through a "rough patch," but believed a third child would save their relationship. The supposed source further contended that the country star wanted "to raise the baby in Australia," while Kidman was "already calling 2019 her miracle year." Actually, it will be a miracle if the tabloids make it through 2019 without publishing fake news about the couple.
The storyline was based on claims from an anonymous and untraceable "source," but Kidman's spokesperson went on the record in October to dismiss the story. The actress's rep, who's qualified to speak on her behalf, assured Gossip Cop she wasn't pregnant or having any marital issues.
The actress has made many red carpet appearances over the past two months, and she doesn't have a baby bump. In fact, Kidman already said last year that she's not having more kids. When asked by "Entertainment Tonight" if she had any plans to expand her family, the actress unequivocally stated, "No." She added, "I would have loved to, if I would have had more kids, but I think I'm past that point now. But I'm very thrilled with what I have." The actress further noted that Urban is on the same page. "My husband says, 'Let's just enjoy what we have," she said.
There's also no truth to the tabloid's claim about the spouses overcoming marriage problems. Earlier this year, People magazine published an article detailing Kidman and Urban's "secrets to a healthy, long-lasting relationship." The story was based on several recent interviews in which the spouses spoke about maintaining a strong marriage. The happy spouses never had a baby to fix their nonexistent marriage problems. That phony premise marks 2018's top wrong rumor about the coupl.e
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
