Is Nicole Kidman “too kinky” for Keith Urban in the bedroom? That’s the ridiculous story in one of this week’s tabloids, which claims the couple’s marriage is suffering as a result. Gossip Cop can debunk the false report.

According to the National Enquirer, Urban hasn’t been able to “satisfy” his wife in recent years because her libido is out of control and he’s feeling worn out. “He’s gently asked her to slow down – which has caused more tension because she thinks he’s not attracted to her anymore,” an alleged source tells the magazine.

“She thinks nothing of waking up in the middle of the night for some steamy fun,” adds the supposed insider. “He loves that she’s so into him, but she never lets him rest. It’s putting a real strain on their relationship.” The suspicious tipster further speculates that Kidman is being overly aggressive because she’s “desperate” to keep her husband from “straying.”

Nothing about the tabloid’s story is remotely true. In fact, the entire narrative seems to be based on lyrics from Urban’s recent song “Gemini,” in which he calls Kidman “a maniac in the bed.” There’s even a line in the track about “waking to make love in the middle of the night.” The Enquirer, which has a long history of falsely claiming the spouses are having marriage problems, is now using the country star’s song lyrics to do so.

It should be noted, Kidman responded to the lyrics during an interview on the Kyle and Jackie O radio show in July. “I don’t censor his art, but it is a little embarrassing,” she noted. “It’s better than saying, ‘God, I’m so bored. Make an effort, Nicole!'” When asked specifically about the lyric regarding “waking to make love,” the actress laughed, “No, what?! You’re making that up, Kyle. Shut up. I’m not answering that, that’s outrageous.” In addition to Urban possibly taking a bit of artistic license with his lyrics, it’s highly unlikely he’d write a song about a situation causing marriage problems.

Still, Gossip Cop reached out to Urban’s spokesperson, who confirms the couple’s marriage is going strong. Of course, it’s not too shocking that the Enquirer isn’t aware of that. We called out the magazine in July for falsely claiming Kidman and Urban were adopting a baby boy after failing to conceive a child through IVF. No adoption has taken place. The unreliable outlet clearly makes up stories about the couple’s relationship as it goes along.

Last year, Gossip Cop busted the tabloid for wrongly reporting Kidman and Urban were having marriage problems because they were spending so much time apart. Back in 2017, we debunked the outlet’s tall tale about Kidman having a “revenge romance” with a “handsome director” after Urban “betrayed” her by getting cozy with a mystery woman. These various narratives about the happy couple’s marriage are baseless.
