Are Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban really fighting over having another baby? One of this week's tabloids claims the actress is begging her husband for another child but he's against the idea. Gossip Cop looked into the situation and we can set the record straight.

According to OK!, the parents of two young girls are at odds when it comes to expanding their family. An alleged insider tells the magazine that the 51-year-old actress "desperately wants one more before she gets any older" and "doesn't care if they try for a bio baby or if they go the adoption route."

The seemingly phony source goes on to say that Urban isn't on the same page and believes they're too busy to raise another child at this point in their lives. "There was a time he thought he might like to have a boy, but he doesn't want to take precious time away from their girls," adds the questionable tipster. "Their careers already force them away from home for so long. He's hoping that Nicole will come to see that things are better as they are."

None of this is accurate. This past January, Kidman herself told People magazine that she and Urban would have had more kids if they had met at a younger age, but they're happy with two at this point. Prior to that, Kidman shared a similar sentiment in an interview with "Entertainment Tonight." When asked if she planned on having more children, the actress plainly answered, "No. I would have loved to... but I think I'm past that point now. But I'm very thrilled with what I have."

Unfortunately, we're not surprised by the tabloid's bogus story. Back in November, Gossip Cop busted OK! for falsely claiming Kidman and Urban were having a third baby after overcoming so-called "marriage problems." The spouses aren't expecting another child and their relationship was never in trouble either. Naturally, this latest phony article fails to mention what happened to the couple's "third baby" that was supposedly on the way a few months ago.

Meanwhile, Gossip Cop called out the magazine in March 2017 for making up a story about Urban giving Kidman an ultimatum to quit working or he'll end their marriage. In reality, the country star has always been supportive of his wife's career and accompanies her to various red carpet events. In the time since we debunked the article, Kidman has continued working and the spouses remain happily married. This latest report involving a baby battle is more fiction.

Our Verdict

Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
