Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban are not headed for a "$413 million divorce," despite a false tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk the claim. The actress's rep tells us it's false.

The latest cover of New Idea wrongly reports that the couple's marriage is falling apart, but the story is based on two articles that Gossip Cop already debunked. The unreliable magazine first insists that Urban "walked out" on Kidman by moving out of the family home, but we previously corrected that bogus narrative when it was published last week in In Touch. New Idea then regurgitates a phony report in last week's Life & Style, which claimed Kidman was upset about her husband's friendship with John Mayer because "she's convinced he's a bad influence." Once again, there was nothing remotely true about any of that.

Next, the outlet goes on to dredge up additional false assertions about Kidman and Urban going on a failed "counseling retreat" in Vermont to save their marriage, as well as a contention about the actress meeting with a divorce lawyer. Neither of those occurrences ever happened. Gossip Cop already busted each of those untrue allegations.

The publication then throws in new phony details about Kidman and Urban supposedly preparing to divide their assets and hash out a custody agreement over their two daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret. "They are leaning on their family and close friends to help them get through this dark time," a so-called "source" tells the magazine. But the publication's entire cover story is based on a number of lies and nonexistent events.

Regardless, Gossip Cop is told by Kidman's rep that she and Urban aren't having marriage problems. The actress's spokesperson has assured us of this on the record on several occasions over the past few weeks, while the tabloids have hidden behind anonymous, untraceable and seemingly made-up "sources."

Almost comically, the timing of the magazine's article couldn't have been poorer. On Sunday night, Kidman and Urban attended the ACM Awards together, proving they're still very much a couple. Meanwhile, last month Urban praised his wife during a SXSW panel, noting she's "inspired" him in both his life and career. New Idea clearly has no idea when it comes to the happy couple's marriage.

Our Verdict

Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
