Is Keith Urban furious about Nicole Kidman putting their two young daughters on her upcoming TV series? That’s the bogus claim in one of this week’s tabloids. Gossip Cop looked into the situation and we can set the record straight.

The couple’s daughters Sunday Rose, 10, and Faith Margaret, 8, served as extras when Kidman shot scenes for her upcoming HBO miniseries “The Undoing” in New York City last week. According to New Idea, Urban “was fuming” when he learned that his wife allowed their girls to appear on camera. A supposed source tells the magazine the country star had already made it clear to the actress that he doesn’t want their girls growing up in the spotlight, so he “accused her of betraying him and going against his wishes.”

The alleged insider further contends that Urban, who’s currently on tour, called Kidman while she was on set, “screaming at her down the phone, which everyone around her could hear, and threatening to walk as he said he couldn’t stay in a marriage where his partner clearly had no respect for him.” “Nicole was sobbing uncontrollably,” adds the suspicious tipster, who goes on to say she tried to explain to her husband that the girls “insisted on having small parts,” but Urban “told her he didn’t know if there was anywhere to go from here.”

The tabloid’s report is entirely fabricated. For starters, Kidman revealed a few months ago that her daughters will appear as extras on the second season of “Big Little Lies.” The young girls already shot scenes for one of their mom’s projects, and if that had been an issue with Urban, they wouldn’t be doing it for a second time.

The outlet also fails to mention that Urban brought Kidman and their daughters on stage during his concert in Nashville this past New Year’s Eve. It would appear he’s comfortable with the girls making very brief appearances in the spotlight. And back in 2016, Urban said in an interview with CMT Radio that his daughters are already interested in singing and acting. The musician made no indication that he’d dissuade them from pursuing a show business career.

Still, Gossip Cop checked in with Urban’s rep, who assures us the tabloid’s story is nonsense. The musician’s spokesperson confirms he’s not upset about his daughters appearing as extras on Kidman’s TV show. The phony claim is coming from the same outlet that we busted last November for falsely claiming Kidman and Urban were getting a “$413 million divorce.” This latest report is equally baseless.
