Nicole Kidman is not "wasting away," despite a false tabloid report claiming the actress's friends are worried about her health. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk the story. We're told it's completely untrue.
According to In Touch, the actress "looked frailer than ever" while shooting "The Undoing" in New York City earlier this month. The magazine describes "The Undoing" as "her upcoming movie," but the project is actually an HBO miniseries. This factual error is the least of the problems with the story, but it's an example of the outlet's sloppy reporting.
An alleged insider tells the tabloid, "Her friends say she needs to slow down and take better care of herself, because she's so busy that she forgets to eat. The stress of juggling so many projects is clearly taking a toll." The supposed source adds, "And she tries to blow off the rumors about her marriage to Keith [Urban] being in trouble, but how can that not add to the stress?"
A doctor who hasn't treated the actress is then quoted as saying she appears to be at an "unhealthy weight." The doctor's diagnosis is based on a single photo of the actress on set. The questionable tipster then concludes, "Nicole clearly looks too skinny these days. She'll put the weight back on - but her friends and colleagues do worry."
The unreliable magazine fails to identify these anonymous "friends" who are supposedly worried about Kidman. Gossip Cop, however, spoke to the actress's spokesperson, who tells us on the record that the outlet's story is total nonsense. Despite what the tabloid's untraceable "insider" claims, a rep qualified to speak on behalf of the actress assures us her inner circle isn't concerned about her health.
It's also worth noting, the actress has always been thin and there's no reason to believe her weight is declining. Kidman has opened up about her diet and nutrition over the years, noting that she's "not that strict" and will "pretty much eat anything, but all in moderation." The actress also explained she's "not someone that believes in denial" and will often indulge in "junk food" when she's on the road with her husband. Kidman has also touted the benefits of eating a lot of protein, adding, "You find out what works for you. And I do a lot and I have a lot of energy."
In Touch is the same tabloid that Gossip Cop busted last year for falsely claiming Kidman and Urban were having a third baby to save their marriage. The spouses haven't had another child and their marriage is going strong. The magazine also insisted last year that Kidman and Urban were getting a divorce. That didn't happen. This latest article is no more accurate.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
