Last year, various tabloids alleged that Nicole Kidman and Amber Heard were feuding on the set of Aquaman. Gossip Cop debunked these false rumors as soon as they emerged. This past weekend, the actresses were seen having a great time together while promoting the movie at Comic-Con, officially proving there's no tension between the two.
In June 2017, Gossip Cop busted the National Enquirer for falsely claiming that Kidman and Heard were feuding while shooting Aquaman because Kidman "didn't like how Amber treated [her friend] Johnny Depp during their divorce." The outlet further alleged that Kidman had "little respect for Amber as an actress." A rep for the Australian star, however, assured us the story was simply "not true."
In December 2017, OK! published a bogus article about Heard being jealous of Kidman. The magazine alleged that Heard got upset when the crew ignored her and instead fawned over how good the 50-year-old actress looked in her costume. Gossip Cop learned that report was entirely false as well.
This past Saturday, it became abundantly clear there's no issue between the co-stars. Photos from the Aquaman panel at Comic-Con show the two women getting along great while talking about the upcoming superhero movie. In fact, People noted that Kidman and Heard "couldn't stop laughing" at the event. The magazine also shared an image of the co-stars goofing around while taking a selfie.
Meanwhile, the Daily Mail noted that the whole cast of the DC movie "seemed to be a tight knit group," especially Kidman and Heard, who were "seen hugging on stage." Although Comic Con marked the first time the two women were seen interacting in public, Heard actually praised Kidman in April during an interview at CinemaCon in Las Vegas. "She's one of the most beautiful, soulful, incredibly kind-hearted women," the actress said when asked about her co-star. "She is truly a powerhouse and I was honored to work with her."
The tabloids have a long history of creating nonexistent feuds between co-stars, especially women. These alleged fights usually involve jealousy and pettiness, as was the case with the fictional storylines involving Kidman and Heard. But one of the biggest enemies of the gossip media is the passage of time, which often disproves old and wrong reports. The Aquaman co-stars demonstrated this past weekend what Gossip Cop has said all along: there's simply no feud between the two.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
